These pictures
were taken by the homeowners, as they were buying this condominium.
They show the existing kitchen in better shape than it was two years later,
when we started working. In those two years, the sink base had fallen
apart, and the cabinets on the wall above the stove were coming down.
Two apartment size refrigerators were put under the counter and there was no dishwasher.

This is the space
after we completed demolition. We discovered century old tile walls,
and other oddities of old time construction technique. In order to
hang the new cabinets, we had to build out the wall, plumb and square.
Fortunately, the clients had another place to stay while their kitchen was
torn apart.
Quite some
difference after completion. The cabinets are RichMaid, painted
crystal white.

As you can see,
there is now a real refrigerator, with a freezer. It is a smaller
model, just right for small condominiums. Facing the living room are
false door panels, an extra deep storage cabinet, and a two drawer cabinet
with glass doors on top. The sink is small
too, but functional, and underneath it, as this next picture shows, is a
dishwasher.

The stove is a slide in, 24
inches wide, with a four drawer cabinet to its left. The countertops
are Maple by John Boos, custom cut to fit the odd dimensions of this kitchen, and
extend out into the living room as a breakfast bar for the client, her
husband and two year old son. The tile was supplied by Roma Tile and
installed by us.
