On Beacon Hill in
Boston, the client owns a four story townhouse. The kitchen was
small and unworkable. The kitchen is still small, but works far better
than before, including a slide out breakfast table. The cabinets are
RichMaid, natural cherry. The top is granite. The appliances
were from Yale Electric.

The gas cooktop has
a down draft behind it. The installers had quite a time finding a set
of chases with which to vent it.

The Subzero
refrigerator was slipped in on the other side of a bearing wall. Next
to it is a tall wine glass storage cabinet. In this picture, you can
see the variation in the height of the ceiling.

The table slides out
from the top of the base cabinet in the center of the picture. There
is room for two seats, with north morning light coming in from the window.

Here the table has
been opened. On the right side of the picture is the double oven
cabinet, a microwave on top, and oven on the bottom. The kitchen is
tight, but it all works.
